Ultraviolet Water Disinfection Systems from VIQUA

VIQUA VP600 is a Commercial Grade UV system ideal for restaurants, hotels, daycares, schools, and many other similar commercial businesses. Remove harmful microorganisms at 30 GPM water flow rates.

Clearly Clean Water Solution Installation Design 1The quality of drinking water can change with time and become contaminated with harmful bacteria. The PROFESSIONAL family of compact UV disinfection systems provide a reliable, economical, and chemical-free way to safeguard drinking water in any residential or light commercial application.

Features of VIQUA UV Water Disinfection Systems

Equipped to inactivate chlorine-resistant parasites such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, harmful bacteria like E.Coli, and viruses not visible to the naked eye.

Specially designed and tested high output lamps provide consistent and reliable ultraviolet output over the entire life of the lamp (9000 hours) to ensure continuous purification, and offer superior performance in a wide range of water conditions.

Built with a durable stainless steel chamber to prolong life and eliminate ultraviolet light degradation.

The special lamp plug ensures that no one can power the UV lamp if it’s not in the UV chamber.

User friendly sensor ensures safe UV levels are maintained.

Monitored systems have a specialized 254nm UV intensity sensor which notifies homeowner of changes in UV performance.

Monitored systems allow for the installation of an optional solenoid valve which will stop the flow of water through the chamber should the UV performance fall below a safe a level.

NEW LCD controller features a large backlit display for easy reading, simultaneously displaying lamp life remaining, UV Intensity Status (E4/E4+, & F4/F4+ only), support contact information, and lamp replacement reminder that indicates when the lamp needs to be replaced, ensuring continued water safety. The intuitive, user-friendly menu is dealer programmable and allows the user to quickly find the replacement parts needed for the system by using the replacement parts menu, dealer contact information, as well as on board quick-reference instructions for system troubleshooting.

While other brands may have problems with water leaks, inconsistent UV power and installation issues, you can relax knowing Viqua is a high quality manufacturer that DOES NOT outsource production to China. Viqua is the best brand in the UV water disinfection market.

Clearly Clean Water Solution General Installation Design

Professional UV Systems connect to your main water supply and is best installed by a professional plumber. It is better to have a water by-pass flow with shut-off valves installed to make replacing your yearly UV bulbs that much easier.

review list of other water purification terms...

GPM: Gallons Per Minute

Standard Output: VIQUA’s standard output UV lamp. They generate less heat, but require longer system lengths and exposure time to equal the dose delivered by other lamp types. Ideal for low flow applications. Minimal maintenance costs and heat radiation; full microbiological protection.

High Output: Higher UV power output; ideal for medium to high flow applications.

Amalgam Lamp Technology: For ultimate UV output; typically needed in high flow applications or NSF Class A installations. Due to higher power requirements, it is the preferred lamp technology for light commercial applications or public facilities.

2X Lamp Life: Long life - 2X greater lamp life vs. standard and high output lamps.

2X Output: 2X greater UV-C output vs. standard low pressure lamp technology.

4X Output: 4X greater UV-C output vs. standard low pressure lamp technology.

Constant Current: Ensures stable UV lamp current regardless of power fluctuations.

Safety-Loc: A UV connector design that meets UL979 safety requirements. VIQUA connectors have a built in mechanism that breaks power to the UV lamp and prevents accidental exposure to UV light outside of the chamber.

UV Lamp: The part of the UV system that emits the 254nm germicidal wavelength of UV light. In VIQUA systems, there are 3 types of lamps: Standard Output, High Output and Amalgam.

VIQUA Standard Dose (30mJ/cm2): VIQUA’s uncompromising dose value used to compare all VIQUA systems that do not require NSF Standard 55 Class A certification. Typically used for residential systems. This has been established as an industry standard in the UV water treatment industry.

Connector: The molded connector that the UV lamp plugs into.

Controller: The electronic module that supplies power to the lamp as well as feedback information of the status of the UV system (syn. ballast, power supply)
