Before installing the Vulcan descaler device our factory used a scale inhibitor as the only descaling method; we would have to replace the RO membrane every 1-3 months. Since installing the Vulcan descaler the RO membrane has lasted for 7 months; saving our company 25,000 USD.

Between May 2016 and January 2017, 5 sets of RO membrane were replaced due to mineral scaling with a replacement cost of 50,000 USD. We were very surprised at how well the Vulcan electronic mineral descaler worked to alleviate our scaling problems. The Vulcan device was installed on April 6. The conductivity after the three-stage RO membranes were 17.1, 22.7, 21.5 (μ-Siemens/cm) on the day. Over 4 days we already saw a noticeable difference. The conductivity was measured again on May 4. The three-stage RO membranes were down to 11.5, 11.5, and 11.6 (μ-Siemens/cm).
Since installing one Vulcan system in April 2017, the RO membrane were not been replaced until October 2017 (7 months) and the use of scale inhibitors had also been reduced by 50%. Over the past 7 months Huomei Wheel Manufacture Company has saved an estimated 25,000 USD in replacement RO membrane costs.
